Dead Sperm Whale Found With 100 Plastic Cups, 4 Plastic Bottles, 25 Plastic Bags, 2 Flip-Flops
This kind of news is becoming way too common. Every day we are putting thousands of pounds of plastic waste into our oceans.
Last November, this sperm whale was found washed up on the beaches of Southern Indonesia according to LiveScience.com.
WWF-Indonesia originally reported this in a Facebook statement.
Although researchers ultimately could not determine if the plastic mass is what did the whale in, there is no reason this poor animal should have consumed this much plastic. It certainly is not good for the whale's health or the billions of other ocean creatures' health.
"Although we have not been able to deduce the cause of death, the facts that we see are truly awful," Dwi Suprati, a marine species conservation coordinator at WWF-Indonesia, told the Associated Press.
Petal is on a mission to stop plastic pollution and we're starting with an anti-plastic, eco-friendly foaming hand soap.
